The story is here and is about a swimmer who was diagnosed with testicular cancer just before he went for swim trials for the Olympics. (he qualified)
The story was trying for an inspiring tone, but it sort of lost me when I read this:
"He also has the support of his girlfriend, Jeri Moss, who played the key role in discovering the cancer."
